JMER

Measurement and remote monitoring

Modular industrial data logger with a cloud

JMER collects signals from measuring equipment, transfers them over its own LTE connection and makes them available in a mobile app and on the web. With no connection to the customer’s network.

How it works

Modules at the measurement site collect data, the cloud processes and stores it, and users see it from anywhere.

  1. Measurement on site

Up to eight measurement modules connect to the control module, chosen by signal type: 4–20 mA current loop, 0–10 V voltage or switch contacts. Data is also stored locally.

  2. Transfer and processing

The control module sends data encrypted over the mobile network. The cloud turns raw data into the resulting measured values, such as CO, NOx or SO₂ concentrations, and stores and archives them.

  3. Access from anywhere

Current and historical values and charts are in the mobile app and on the web. A selected period can be exported to Excel, and your own systems download data through an authorised interface.

Diagram: the JMER device on the customer’s premises receives signals from measuring equipment and sends them encrypted over the LTE mobile network to the cloud, where users reach them through the mobile app, the web or their own systems. The device is not connected to the customer’s data network.

Security and reliability

JMER is designed for sites with higher demands on the protection of equipment and data.

  • Outside the customer’s network. When transferring over LTE, JMER is not connected to the customer’s network at all; only the measurement inputs link it to the plant.
  • The device always initiates the connection. The control module cannot be reached from the internet.
  • Mutual authentication and encryption. The device and the cloud authenticate each other, every device has its own unique keys and all transfer is encrypted.
  • A lost connection does not mean lost data. Local storage holds about a year of operation, and the data is filled in automatically once the connection returns.
  • Cloud across multiple availability zones. Data is stored encrypted and backed up regularly within the European Union.

Apps and access to data

The mobile app for Android and iOS is the main way to the measured values; the web offers the same in a browser. Each user sees only the data they are permitted to see.

  • Cloud as a service. Operation, storage and archiving of data are part of the subscription; nothing is installed at the customer’s site.
  • Updates taken care of. We update device firmware and system software remotely.
  • The data belongs to the customer. It can be downloaded continuously in JSON, CSV or XML and exported in full when the service ends.
